Advanced
Random Mode
You can turn on random mode for each layer if you wish. This allows you to lay several
notes on a layer and have them play randomly.
You can still control the timing by carefully placing notes horizontally on the grid. Use in
conjunction with 'Loop Point' automation to create morphing arpeggios.
Sample Recording
This dialog allows you to record your own samples directly from your iPhones’ internal
microphone.
Trigger Level: This setting allows you to specify the volume level at which recording
begins after pressing the 'Rec' button. Modify the trigger level so that the vertical black
marker on the input meter is positioned just above any background noise.
Rec: Starts the recording process by placing the program into a ready state. Recording
actually begins only when the input signal reaches the trigger level.
Preview: Use this button to listen to any captured sounds.
Optimize: Displays a menu of options for normalizing, trimming and fading the sample
buffer.
Save: Allows you to save any captured samples to your samples folder. These samples
can be loaded into the sampler or drum kit instruments and used to create instrument
patches.
Please Note: Sample recording may be disabled on 1st generation
iPhones unless you have an external microphone or headset attached. This is a hardware
limitation since the internal microphone is only capable of a recording at a sample rate of
8KHz."},
